White Mountain Basic Vanilla Ice Cream (Starts with cooking custard)

Ingredients
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
Directions
  • Step 1 Separate the eggs and make a soft custard of the milk, egg yolks and sugar.
  • Step 2 Beat the egg whites stiff and over them pour the warm custard and mix thoroughly.
  • Step 3 Add the vanilla and salt, when cold, the whipped cream. Freeze according to your freezer instructions.
