Rocky Mountain Yodelers' Beans/ Green Beans

Ingredients
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 medium onion
  • chopped
  • 1 green pepper
  • chopped
  • 16 ounces kidney beans
  • drained
  • 16 ounces pinto beans
  • drained
  • 16 ounces green beans
  • drained
  • 16 ounces butter beans
  • drained
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup Mr. Brown
  • (crust), chopped
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/8 cup cayenne pepper sauce
Directions
  • Step 1 Partially fry up the bacon and reserve 2 Tbs. of the drippings and sauté‚ the chopped onion and green pepper.
  • Step 2 Add the rest of the ingredients to a large pot and mix well, being careful not to mash the beans.
  • Step 3 Cover the pot and simmer slowly for approximately one hour, stirring occasionally.
