Mustard-Based Central South Carolina Sauce

Use with pork chops
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons peanut oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 garlic cloves
- minced
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 onion
- minced
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1/2 cup catsup
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Directions
- Step 1 Combine ingredients and set aside.
- Step 2 Grill meat (do not add anything). During the last 4-10 minutes baste with this sauce.
- Step 3 Boil the remaining sauce and spoon 2 Tablespoons onto each plate, adding the meat portion.
