Ingredients
- ****Option 1
- 3/4 cup distilled white or cider vinegar
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 3/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- crushed
- salt and pepper
- to taste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- ****Option 2
- 1/2 quart ketchup
- 1/2 quart vinegar
- (4%)
- 1/2 cup pepper
- 1/2 cup crushed red pepper
- 2 cups kosher salt
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 pinch cayenne
- ****Option 3
- 1 1/2 cups cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Step 1 Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pan and bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring, until the sugar dissolves.
- Step 2 Remove from heat and let stand until cool.
