Ingredients
  • 1 can pinto beans
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1 can white beans
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can beans of your choice
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • chopped
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • cut diagonally
  • 3 centiliters garlic
  • minced
  • 2 Serrano peppers
  • sliced thin
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dried epazote
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • toasted and ground
  • 3 dashes hot pepper sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • to taste
Directions
  • Step 1 Rinse the beans well in cold water. Put into a pot and add the remaining ingredients. If the juice from the tomatoes doesn’t cover the beans (I doubt if it will), add some beer (Preferred) or water to cover.
  • Step 2 Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer and cook uncovered for half an hour or more to blend the flavors.
  • Step 3 Add more liquid as needed
