Filet Mignon with Pasilla Chile Sauce

Ingredients
- 4 filet mignon steaks
- (8 ounces each)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- to taste
- ***PASILLA CHILE BBQ SAUCE***
- 1 1/2 cups New Mexico-style BBQ Sauce
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons pasilla chili powder
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Directions
- Step 1 Mix all ingredients well and marinate filets for 1 hour
- Step 2 Prepare a wood or charcoal grill and let burn down to embers
- Step 3 Remove filets from BBQ sauce and cook on grill for 4 minutes on each side for medium rare.
